Abstract

En la década de los ochenta y noventa, los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) y los modelos digitales del terreno (MDT), se han aplicado en distintos ámbitos, tales como: el medio ambiente, planeación regional y urbano, así como estudios de vegetación, uso del suelo, exploración de recursos no renovables y en estudios de riesgo geológico.
