Abstract

Muchas significaciones han investido a las grandes urbes en tiempos modernos desde las sociedades del riesgo, pasando por la sociedad red, de lo efímero, del vacío y la sociedad del cambio vertiginoso; hasta la flexibilidad, la desorientación y la inseguridad. Sin embargo, el miedo es, tal vez, lo que ha caracterizado y definido la experiencia de vida de los habitantes en las ciudades postmodernas. Sobre todo, el miedo se ha establecido como el motor de la dinámica social urbana.
