Intervencion Educativa Para Prevenir Adicciones: Experiencia Académica Con El Instituto Temazcalli San Luis Potosí

Abstract

El fenómeno del consumo de drogas es un grave problema de salud pública que afecta principalmente a la población adolescente y joven, el cual se presenta cada vez a edades más tempranas, el mantenimiento del consumo favorece el aumento de riesgo en abuso y dependencia. En San Luis Potosí, para atender este tema se creó en 1984 el Instituto Temazcalli. Otra estrategia de atención es la colaboración de las instituciones formadoras para fortalecer la preparación de profesionales de enfermería pre y posgrado, lo cual reviste particular importancia para la adquisición, renovación, ampliación y habilitación de conocimientos en el Instituto, pues parte de la reflexión a nivel prevención y promoción de la salud, lo esencial es conocer los factores de riesgo y protección fundamentales para entender el fenómeno de las drogas, este es un espacio idóneo para realimentar y fortalecer una intervención educativa dirigida a la prevención en esta problemática contemporánea. Este artículo expone la experiencia obtenida durante una estancia de investigación con el equipo de trabajo del Temazcalli.
