Vulvovaginitis Por Candida En Diabéticas Y Embarazadas

Abstract

Vulvovaginitis es un problema común en medicina clínica y es un motivo frecuente por lo que las mujeres visitaran al ginecólogo. Pacientes con diabetes y mujeres embarazadas tienen un mayor riesgo de colonización/infección por Candida albicans y especies no albicans. Diabetes no controlada con glucosuria y aumento de concentraciones de glucosa en las secreciones vaginales, puede provocar vaginitis sintomática debido a la colonización por Candida. La incidencia de candidiasis es casi dos veces más común en las mujeres embarazadas en particular en el tercer trimestre en comparación con las mujeres no embarazadas. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar una visión general acerca de candidiasis vulvovaginal en diabéticos y embarazadas.
