Abstract

En este documento se hace énfasis en la forma en la que las sociedades tradicionales dan uso de los recursos biológicos de un medio local, deben observar, nombrar, clasificar y representar a las especies que comparten con ellos el cosmos. Los humanos deben ser capaces de reconocer, categorizar e identificar ejemplos de las especies, grupos de especies similares juntas, diferenciarlas de otras y ser capaces de comunicar este conocimiento a otros de alguna forma u de otra sea esto de forma oral o de cualquier tipo de representaciones. Esta acción es un principio básico de los seres humanos que parece que repentinamente sólo le fuera atribuido a unas sociedades y no a otras por razones históricas ya conocidas, dejando de lado o simplemente no comprendiendo la forma de pensar de los “otros”, los no occidentales.
