  • EL EJÉRCITO EN LA CONFIGURACIÓN POLÍTICA DEL PODER EN MÉXICO

Abstract

El presente trabajo sostiene la existencia de una influencia determinante del ejército en la construcción del sistema político mexicano. El análisis se realiza a partir de una breve aproximación histórica de los años posteriores a la Revolución Mexicana y la institucionalización del Partido Nacional Revolucionario (PNR) hasta inicios del presente siglo, con el fin de evidenciar la importancia de los militares en el poder. Así pues, se abordan tres distintos momentos: la configuración del sistema político a partir de una fuerte relación entre el gobierno, el ejército y el partido en el poder, el legado castrense en los pactos y reglas no escritas de la vida política de México y, por último, el desafío que enfrentan las autoridades civiles en la actualidad para plantear un nuevo orden con reglas claras para las fuerzas armadas.
