Análisis de la oferta potencial de turismo oscuro en Ciudad Valles, S.L.P

Abstract

La investigación está orientada a analizar la oferta potencial en materia de “Turismo Oscuro†en Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí, con la intención de diversificar y ofrecer alternativas de turismo que permitan al turista elegir entre una gama de actividades y permita desahogar los parajes de la localidad en las temporadas vacacionales de mayor demanda. Primero se introduce el concepto de turismo oscuro y se presentan algunos casos de este tipo de turismo en el país y en el estado de S.L.P. como antesala al análisis de la localidad de Ciudad Valles; la metodología utilizada es cualitativa y se hace uso entrevistas abiertas estructuradas al personal de algunas dependencias del gobierno municipal, como el departamento de Cultura y el de Turismo, y a cronistas e historiadores del municipio. Posteriormente se presentan los resultados obtenidos de la investigación, donde se enlistan distintos lugares que cumplen con las características idóneas para ser considerados para la promoción de esta tipología de turismo; finalmente se muestra en las conclusiones que existe una oferta potencial de Turismo Oscuro basada en la memoria colectiva que forma parte del patrimonio histórico que puede patentarse en varios puntos específicos de la ciudad.
