Credibilidad de los medios masivos de comunicación y la conformación de la opinión pública en México

Abstract

Recientemente el pasado 7 de junio tuvo lugar en México, 18 elecciones locales nueve de las cuales fueron para elegir gobernador, 903 eligieron presidentes municipales y 639 diputados locales. Este año, se genera una situación particular, y es que por vez primera en el país, además de los candidatos de los partidos políticos, se suman candidatos independientes, quienes permiten ver un panorama general de la democracia y de los medios de comunicación en México, y es la conformación de la opinión pública y la credibilidad de los medios de comunicación. Es así, que se plantea como objetivo del presente trabajo conocer el concepto de credibilidad en los MMC para formar una opinión pública. Así, se parte de la postura que debido a la competitividad de la información, éstos medios responden a intereses políticos y a estrategias arraigadas en procesos comerciales. Lo cual da origen a la actual crisis de la credibilidad en los MMC para la formación de una opinión pública.
