El Programa Nacional para el Financiamiento a la Educación superior México (PRONAFES México), una alternativa de alto valor agregado

Abstract

Ante la falta de espacios en la educación superior pública, el crédito educativo es el mecanismo necesario para romper la línea de restricción presupuestaria de las familias en México. Un adecuado instrumento de financiamiento educativo disminuirá la presión del Estado, dará acceso a clases menos favorecidas y ayudará a que las universidades privadas cumplan su función. El esfuerzo coordinado del Estado, de las instituciones educativas y del alumno, en un programa nacional de financiamiento como el que se propone, pueden contribuir a la creación de un mecanismo de financiamiento educativo donde el fondo se autoalimenta con presupuesto propio y se da la pauta para el surgimiento de programas de becas y apoyos a la formación académica de estudiantes. El Programa Nacional de Financiamiento a la Educación Superior (PRONAFES) puede ser exitoso en México, e incluso replicarse en cualquier país con el apoyo del Estado, universidades y comunidades educativas.
