El Desarrollo De La Agricultura En La Ciénaga De Chapala

Abstract

El reparto agrario en la Ciénaga de Chapala convirtió la mayor parte de su suelo en ejido. Las parcelas ejidales eran dedicadas predominantemente a la producción de granos, eran trabajadas por el ejidatario y su familia y operaban bajo un sistema de control político gubernamental, en medio de una corrupción generalizada. Hoy día, la producción hortícola es la más productiva, la que emplea el mayor número de trabajadores, la que usa la tecnología agrícola más avanzada y la que mayormente concentra la propiedad y el arrendamiento de parcelas ejidales y pequeñas propiedades de la región.
