Abstract

El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las decisiones de política pública que está llevando a cabo el gobierno de México para impulsar la competencia en el mercado de telecomunicaciones. Para ello, se identifica la forma en la que está organizado este sector y se utilizan herramientas provenientes de la teoría económica de redes para evaluar las acciones de este gobierno. A partir de este análisis, se proponen opciones a seguir para mejorar la calidad y los precios que brinda este sector a los consumidores mexicanos y promover un desarrollo más rápido de este sector en nuestro país.
