Tránsitos de las Ciencias Sociales a las Ciencias de la Comunicación

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se presenta una travesía que va desde el planteamiento de un mapa para reflexionar sobre las Ciencias Sociales y su papel en el mundo contemporáneo hasta llevarnos a un territorio particular que es el de las Ciencias de la Comunicación, un campo "emergente" de la modernidad que aún no logra encontrar su sitio en el concierto científico de la transmodernidad. Una reflexión necesaria, en este momento, es que no aparece la ciencia de la comunicación entre las disciplinas citadas y esto, es parte de una discusión permanente y aun no resuelta que no es el tema de este trabajo pero no puede dejar de ser señalado. ¿Cuál es la función de los investigadores sociales inmersos en un mundo globalizado, en un campo científico institucionalizado y, estructurados por una serie de valores propios de la sociedad primaria a la que pertenecen?
