Abstract

Carlos Calderón y José Gómez son los coordinadores de un grupo de investigación patagónico que, en el ámbito de la Universidad Nacional del Comahue, hace ya muchos años se dedican al estudio de la Historia política y social de Galicia, especialmente el período que comprende la Edad Media y principios de la Moderna. La dedicación casi exclusiva a esta temática y el estudio de fuentes de la época (como las actas de la Junta de Galicia o los relatos de cronistas locales) les han permitido desarrollar interpretaciones propias de este período histórico, muchas veces alejadas de los conceptos explicativos que presenta la historiografía española clásica.
