El Impacto De Las “Potencias Emergentes” En El Sistema Internacional: El Libre Comercio En Una Encrucijada

Abstract

El presente artículo intenta llamar la atención sobre los dilemas políticos que clive relativo estadounidense y el progresivo ascenso de “nuevas potencias emergentes” (China, India, Rusia y Brasil). En este contexto, se concluye que el actual carácter cordial de las relaciones entre unas y otras potencias se verá crecientemente comprometido y enfrentará serias limitaciones. Por un lado, la fuerte presión del crecimiento económico y poblacional de las potencias emergentes generará un recrudecimiento de la competencia internacional por recursos escasos. Por el otro, esta misma ampliación en sus capacidades materiales se corresponderá necesariamente con intereses nacionales más amplios y expansivos.
