Impacto psicológico de la obesidad en niños y adolescentes vistos desde la universidad, las instituciones de salud y la familia

Abstract

La obesidad infantil es uno de los problemas de salud pública más graves del siglo XXI, además de ser causante de múltiples afecciones biológicas tales como trastornos cardiovasculares y diabetes trae consigo alteraciones emocionales que afectan el desarrollo personológico de estos niños. Con el objetivo de lograr un tratamiento más integral que no solo recaiga en el ejercicio físico y la dieta se propone un programa de intervención psicológica para disminuir las alteraciones emocionales tales como la ansiedad, la depresión y la pérdida de autoestima. Como referente teórico se destaca la Terapia Cognitiva Conductual y se selecciona como sujetos de investigación 10 niños y adolescentes obesos/sobrepesos que acuden a consulta de psicología y psiquiatría en el periodo de octubre del 2018 al mes de marzo del presente año. La investigación se divide en dos etapas, primeramente, se realiza el diagnóstico de las principales alteraciones psicológicas a través de el empleo de métodos como entrevistas, observación, completamiento de frases, htp, e inventario de autoestima.
