Gestión de riesgos en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí

Abstract

El entorno actual demanda la aplicación de enfoques modernos de dirección, siendo la implementación del control interno una prioridad, al contribuir a la mejora continua de las organizaciones. Por lo que constituye una necesidad en las instituciones de educación superior el perfeccionamiento de la gestión de riesgos, como componente esencial del control interno. En este contexto en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, aunque se han aplicado herramientas novedosas de control, se evidencia que la evaluación de riesgos no se realiza de forma periódica y no está estructurada por procesos; por lo que la investigación tiene como objetivo: desarrollar herramientas para la gestión de riesgos en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí. Para cumplir el objetivo propuesto, se realiza el diagnóstico de la situación actual, a través de la aplicación y análisis de una lista de checheo que evalúa la capacidad de prevención estratégica de la organización, la cual fue adaptada al contexto de las universidades.
