Abstract

El perfeccionamiento de la gesti�n conduce a la necesidad de aplicar herramientas avanzadas de direcci�n como soluci�n permanente, integral y sistem�tica a las insuficiencias de la actual gesti�n y en respuesta a los nuevos retos que enfrentan todas las organizaciones. Las universidades no est�n ajenas a esta realidad, de ah� la significaci�n que posee la optimizaci�n de los recursos materiales y financieros, que permitan la mejora continua de los resultados de los procesos sustantivos universitarios. Lo cual requiere del desarrollo adecuado de la gesti�n econ�mico financiera, a partir de incorporar en su actuar el enfoque por procesos como herramienta de direcci�n y la necesaria integraci�n con los procesos sustantivos, lo cual permite el incremento permanente de la calidad de las condiciones de estudio, trabajo y vida de la comunidad universitaria.
