Herramientas digitales de apoyo al proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje: repositorio de objetos de aprendizaje

Abstract

En esta era digital, el proceso de enseñanza -aprendizaje no puede permanecer ajeno al empleo de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC). Los estudiantes de las instituciones de educación superior (IES), requieren hoy en día tener un aprendizaje significativo, pertinente que les ayude a adquirir conocimientos y competencias que les permita adherirse al campo laboral. La búsqueda de información, videos o tutoriales por parte de estudiantes y/o docentes sobre un tema en particular no siempre se encuentra enfocada al perfil profesional o la información encontrada es demasiado técnica y hasta algunas veces confusa. El término “Objeto de Aprendizaje†fue nombrado por primera vez en 1992 por el tecnólogo futurista Wayne Hodgins, quien asoció los bloques LEGO con bloques de aprendizaje normalizados, con fines de reutilización en procesos educativos (Hodgins, 2000). Entonces lo definió como “cualquier recurso digital que puede ser utilizado como soporte para el aprendizaje†.
