Empleo gerontológico en México

Abstract

La presente investigación aborda las características del trabajo del adulto mayor por las cuales las empresas en México las incluyen para realizar labores, menos manuales y más intelectuales, por supuesto donde les permita ser transmisores de experiencia. Las cualidades que aporta el empleo gerontológico incluyen: la disminución de la rotación del personal, además de que son transmisores de experiencia y motivan al desarrollo de los demás colaboradores de la empresa. Entre las principales actividades que realizan personas de la tercera edad en México son en el empleo informal muchos de ellos se autoemplean en: el reciclaje de PET, cartón, papel entre otros. Lo anterior, nos permite identificar que los ingresos son muy escasos y que no son suficientes para que subsistan las personas de mayor edad.
