Abstract

analizar la frecuencia del uso de Internet y móvil; Asociar el uso, horas antes de conectarse al Internet y móvil en las comunidades urbanas y rurales. Método: enfoque cuantitativo de Diseño no experimental, estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. El estudio estuvo constituida por cinco Unidades Educativas de cuatro cantones: Portoviejo, Santa Ana, 24 de Mayo y Junín de la provincia de Manabí, escogidos al azar, la muestra quedó formada por 711 adolescentes, 383 (53,9%) hombres y 328 (46,2%) mujeres, en edades entre 11 y 16 años (M= 13,16, DT= 1,078) de los grados octavo, noveno y décimo de Educación General Básica de las Unidades Educativas (EGB) del sector público de la comunidad Urbana 424 (59,69%) y Rural 287 (40,4%).
