Abstract

Nos últimos anos tem aumentado no Brasil a quantidade de empreendimentos num setor que até há pouco tempo não chamava a atenção das pessoas comuns: o setor relativo ao sepultamento dos corpos humanos. Recentemente este fenômeno tem sido tema de estudos acadêmicos e ocupado as manchetes na mídia jornalística, não apenas pelo investimento financeiro envolvido, mas também devido às más condições de manutenção e por tratar-se de um tema que envolve tabus culturais, sociais, antropológicos e, principalmente, ambientais.
