La gestión por procesos aplicada al pre-operatorio de glaucoma en un hospital clínico quirúrgico cubano

Abstract

La gestión por procesos resulta muy útil como gestión de la calidad. Se ha aplicado con éxito en disímiles ramas de lo productivo y de los servicios y más discretamente en los servicios hospitalarios y de salud en general. Con su aplicación se obtienen resultados verdaderamente fiables que permiten accionar sobre los procesos en vistas a su mejora continua. El presente trabajo se une a una serie de análisis anteriores sobre el análisis y mejora de los procesos claves que intervienen en el servicio de oftalmología, específicamente en el área quirúrgica de este servicio que es su actividad fundamental. En este caso, se enfoca el análisis en el proceso clave pre-operatorio de la cirugía de glaucoma. Para ello se confeccionaron los mapas de procesos, los diagramas de flujo de procesos y se aplicó la metodología para analizar y mejorar este proceso clave.
