La dimensión ambiental en el desarrollo local del Consejo Popular Yara

Abstract

El presente trabajo aborda el tratamiento a la dimensión ambiental desde la perspectiva de la aplicación de las políticas de desarrollo y la responsabilidad individual de los miembros de la comunidad en el cuidado y conservación de su entorno. El mismo es el resultado de una investigación concebida desde el Centro Universitario Municipal en Yara, la estructura coordinativa del Consejo Popular Yara, líderes comunitarios y directivos de entidades, a partir de la identificación de los problemas ambientales que se manifiestan en la demarcación del Consejo Popular Yara, como consecuencia de la carencia de una estrategia que posibilite un accionar consecuente en la aplicación de las políticas por los actores encargados de gestar el desarrollo en los diversos sectores sociales y económicos de la demarcación. Los resultados arrojados en el diagnóstico ambiental posibilitaron implementar la dimensión ambiental a través de diferentes acciones que favorecieron la gestión ambiental de los actores locales.
