Abstract

La vida política de Fidel Castro Ruz inició con su liderazgo en el Partido del Pueblo Cubano Ortodoxo, donde abogó contra la corrupción administrativa y el robo al tesoro público ante la situación económica, política y social de Cuba, bajo la dominación norteamericana. Luego del golpe de estado de marzo de 1952, lideró el movimiento revolucionario que se gestaba. La etapa se caracterizó por una intensa actividad revolucionaria, hasta que en 1959 se logró el triunfo de la Revolución; cumpliéndose en ese entonces sus ansias de independencia. En el transcurso de la década de 1960 Fidel se dio a la tarea de erradicar los problemas fundamentales de la sociedad cubana planteados en ‘’La Historia me Absolverá’’, demostrando ante el mundo su pensamiento político y su capacidad de líder. Ante el desastroso hecho ocurrido el 4 de marzo de 1960, nuestro Comandante pronunció la consigna de ‘’Patria o Muerte’’, resumiendo nuestra voluntad en defensa de la Revolución. Hechos trascendentales de gran relevancia promovieron al desarrollo y puesta en práctica de los ideales de nuestro guía, constituyendo así un ejemplo a seguir en el mundo como una figura de carácter incesante e intransigencia patriótica.
