Abstract

La puesta en marcha del Proyecto Social Cubano a partir de 1959 demuestra cómo el proceso independentista que había iniciado en etapas anteriores concluía ahora con el compromiso de dar continuidad histórica a la nación. Materializados sus fines, en consonancia con sus medios, nos encontramos ante un proyecto de nación donde el respeto a la condición humana se convierte en requisito indispensable, premisa heredada del pensamiento martiano y lo mejor del marxismo-leninismo. Condicionado por las circunstancias internas y externas y siendo reflejo de su momento histórico, dicho proyecto ha sabido mantener en alto el ideal desde el cual fue fundado, si tenemos en cuenta la premura de ataques –de las más variadas maneras-, etapa de crisis, aplicación de reformas, búsqueda de alternativas, etc., eventos todos que han enriquecido el accionar de las esferas económicas, políticas, sociales así como el papel de las ciencias en la solución de las problemáticas enfrentadas.
