Derechos humanos de los pueblos originarios del estado de Chiapas: las mujeres indígenas y los derechos humanos

Abstract

Recientemente, el tema de la concepción de los derechos humanos por parte de los pueblos indígenas ha cobrado gran importancia, tanto en los entornos académicos como en los de gobierno, con miras a determinar la correspondencia que se halla entre los que gobiernan y dichos pueblos. Es necesario comprender que los derechos colectivos deben ser apreciados y reconocidos en la medida en que su declaración y aplicación origina a su vez los derechos particulares de cada individuo. Tales derechos no se conceden, ni se proveen por parte del estado, sino que se reconocen cómo un acto de justicia; por ello, es preciso conocerlos y propagarlos.
