La inmigración haitiana hacia Guantánamo. Principales aportes culturales

Abstract

El aporte del inmigrante haitiano a la integral formación de la identidad cultural guantanamera se manifestó con mayor fuerza desde la llegada e inserción en la comunidad, donde en muchos de los casos estos llegaron a la parte oriental de Cuba con sus familias en la etapa de la Revolución de Haití, y pasó por los restantes componentes de la inmigración desde aquella región durante los siglos siguientes.El presente trabajo destaca los rasgos más relevantes de la cultura haitiana, así como la influencia que produjo como elemento que contribuyó a la formación de la identidad sociocultural guantanamera, la que encuentra su expresión en diferentes manifestaciones relacionadas con las danzas, los cultos, comidas y bebidas en dicha región, a partir del análisis de diferentes fuentes bibliográficas que abordan esta temática.
