El profesional de la información en los procesos de innovación de la educación superior

Abstract

Se examinan los nuevos desafíos que enfrenta el Profesional de la Información (PI) de la Educación Superior en la innovación en este siglo, haciendo referencia a su actuación en las décadas anteriores. Se aborda la posición que debe ser asumida por el PI para potenciar el desarrollo de las posibles estrategias que incrementa la innovación. Es objetivo entonces reflexionar sobre la conducta del profesional de la información en los procesos de innovación y cambio tecnológico, orientando su actuación hacia las trincheras de la innovación. La investigación de carácter descriptivo y de campo toma el corpus teórico de importantes autores así como de prestigiosas publicaciones para proyectar sus propuestas. Finalmente, evidencia la posición acertada que tiene el Profesional de la Información de la Educación Superior dentro de las estrategias de fomento a la Innovación, las cuales se reforzarán en la medida en que se reconozca la necesidad de dar más protagonismo a este personaje, recomendando además su influencia en el aprendizaje permanente que impulsa la innovación.
