Abstract

Este trabajo explica las características organizacionales de la empresa Administración Portuaria Integral de Ensenada, S. A. de C. V., la cual se estableció en junio de 1994, a partir de la promulgación de la Ley de Puertos en 1993, la cual busca asentar el nuevo marco de operación de los puertos mexicanos, y se constituyó como una Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable. Es una paraestatal federal que depende de la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes, a través de la Coordinación General de Puertos y Marina Mercante. Para el ejercicio de sus funciones en 1994 se le otorgó Título de Concesión del Gobierno Federal, para el uso, aprovechamiento y explotación del Puerto de Ensenada, en virtud del cual administra, supervisa, controla y promociona bienes, servicios y actividades dentro del Recinto Portuario, siendo las principales actividades la recepción y atención de embarcaciones comerciales con carga contenerizada, turísticas, industriales y pesqueras del país.
