La Equidad En La Concepción Neoestructuralista Del Desarrollo Latinoamericano

Abstract

En la actualidad, desde diferentes posiciones teóricas que abordan la problemática del desarrollo, se ha otorgado mayor importancia a la dimensión social del mismo. Dentro de las corrientes procapitalistas que se insertan en el debate—asumiendo la posibilidad de alcanzar el desarrollo capitalista con equidad social- habría que destacar las ideas contemporáneas de la Comisión Económica para América Latina (CEPAL); esta institución ha venido insistiendo desde 1990 en la necesidad de lograr la transformación productiva de las economías latinoamericanas acompañada de una creciente equidad social. El propósito de este trabajo es valorar las ideas de CEPAL acerca de la equidad en los dos últimos decenios.
