La economía popular y solidaria para el desarrollo económico y social de las masas populares en Ecuador como alternativa al modelo neoliberal

Abstract

Los efectos del modelo neoliberal en Ecuador fueron negativos para la economía y las masas populares. Entre los resultados más significativos pueden indicarse, el deterioro de los indicadores económicos y sociales del país como: el incremento de la pobreza, el desempleo y el aumento de la desigualdad entre los diferentes sectores de la población. Con el cambio de gobierno en el año 2007, se comienza a implementar un conjunto de transformaciones jurídicas que conforman el marco legal, para dar paso a cambios profundos en el orden económico y social. La economía popular y solidaria constituye una de las propuestas encaminadas a disminuir la pobreza, el desempleo y a mejorar la calidad de vida ciudadana. Los resultados positivos que se han ido alcanzando, así lo afirman.
