Abstract

El desarrollo sostenible viene marcado por todos aquellos elementos que se pueden disfrutar en el presente sin comprometer el disfrute de las generaciones futuras. Así, para que un destino se forme en base a unos cimientos sostenibles, además de realizar acciones que mejoren el desarrollo socioeconómico de la población y la conservación de los recursos naturales, debe ofrecer unos servicios básicos de calidad para las comunidades locales, que mejoren el estado de bienestar de tal población. En este sentido, el objetivo principal de esta investigación es analizar la percepción de la población residente en Dajabón (República Dominicana) sobre la situación de los recursos poblacionales de la provincia. La metodología utilizada ha consistido en una técnica cuantitativa: la encuesta. Los resultados muestran la valoración actual que la comunidad local de esta provincia le otorga a diversos recursos poblacionales.
