La Huella Ecológica De Las Empresas: 4 Años De Seguimiento En El Puerto De Gijón

Abstract

En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de cuatro años de seguimiento en el puerto de Gijón (Asturias, España), habiendo obtenido una huella ecológica de 5.298 hectáreas en el año 2004, superficie necesaria para proveer de todos los recursos necesarios para la actividad portuaria, así como para absorber sus desechos. Esta superficie ascendió en el año 2005 a 6.693, detectándose, entre muchos otros, el importante impacto de las obras portuarias en el conjunto de la huella, así como del consumo energético. Conocidas las prioridades, se realizó un estudio de ecoeficiencia y una auditoría energética, que, en parte, han permitido adoptar medidas para reducir la huella. Esta descendió a 6.182 hectáreas en 2006 y a 6.167 en 2007.
