La migración francohaitiana y su influencia en la cultura cubana

Abstract

Las oleadas migratorias de franceses y haitianos a Cuba en los siglos del XVIII al XX, hizo posible la introducción de manifestaciones culturas en el acontecer cubano que diversificaron las expresiones artísticas y de la cultura popular. En el artículo se ofrecen evidencias de la influencia de estos grupos humanos en las prácticas religiosas, la culinaria, la música, los bailes, la literatura, la valía de la obra musical de Martha Jean Claude y el estímulo para la creación cinematográfica. Todo lo cual reafirma la importancia de esta migración en la conformación de la cultura cubana y caribeña.
