Abstract

Con el propósito de identificar el papel de lo militar en la historia de Japón y, dentro de ello, entender las funciones claves que han desempeñado Estados Unidos y China en la región y globalmente, antes y después de la II Guerra Mundial, se esbozan algunos antecedentes que abren el camino a la comprensión del comportamiento de los diferentes actores dentro del mundo multipolarizado actual, fenómeno que relativiza los predominios políticos a nivel internacional.
