Japón Y Las Migraciones Internacionales: Una Revisión Bibliográfica De Los Artículos Del International Migration Review (Imr)

Abstract

Las migraciones internacionales históricas y contemporáneas con relación a Japón se han estudiado a través de la revisión bibliográfica de los artículos que sobre el tema se han publicado en la revista International Migration Review (imr) desde su inicio. Primeramente, y a modo de preámbulo, se examina aquí el fenómeno migratorio japonés de forma general y desde una perspectiva histórico-estructural, y se presenta la revista imr; y, seguidamente, se analizan los trece artículos aparecidos entre 1969 y 2002, y que han sido escritos por distintos autores. Estos han abordado en su conjunto la emigración exterior japonesa al continente americano, la inmigración laboral en Japón (regular y clandestina), la formación de comunidades transnacionales, y las relaciones interétnicas que implican a japoneses o a sus descendientes. Por último, se realiza una valoración personal de la contribución de estos artículos y se señalan nuevos temas a tratar.
