Abstract

El 11 de enero de 2004 se producía uno de los hechos más relevantes de la historia reciente de Japón cuando un primer contingente de soldados de las Fuerzas de Autodefensa de Japón (FAD) entraba en Irak. Dicha avanzadilla militar debía preparar el terreno para la llegada del resto del contingente japonés, el cual sumaría 1.000 efectivos cuando hubiese culminado su despliegue en la zona de Samawa.
