Abstract

La centuria XXI acaba de comenzar como heredera fidedigna del recién pasado siglo XX. Un siglo que dejó tras de sí añoranzas y desdeños irreconciliables a nivel de procesos históricos, económicos, políticos, sociales y hasta culturales que vieron la luz en la etapa de oro del capitalismo mundial después de la Segunda Conflagración que terminó justo en 1945 y, en la que nacieron, crecieron y se consolidaron estrategias del desarrollo universal que llegaron a convertirse en paradigmas para muchas sociedades periféricas y tercermundistas. El modelo euro-soviético, la socialdemocracia europea, el modelo japonés y la reforma aperturista en China fueron y siguen siendo hoy, ejemplos fehacientes y trascendentales de ese siglo que para muchos ha terminado; para otros, no tanto.
