La invalidez parcial. Tratamiento laboral y salarial según la legislación vigente en Cuba

Abstract

La Constitución de la República dispone que el Estado, mediante el Sistema de Seguridad Social garantiza la protección adecuada a todo trabajador impedido por su edad, invalidez o enfermedad, y en caso de muerte de este, a su familia, así como a los ancianos sin recursos ni amparo y a cualquier persona no apta para trabajar que carezca de familiares en condiciones de prestarle ayuda. La población cubana se caracteriza por un proceso de envejecimiento, resultado de la baja natalidad el aumento de la esperanza de vida al nacer, lo que influye en la disminución de los arribantes a la edad laboral y en un creciente impacto en la disponibilidad de los recursos humanos, factor este esencial para satisfacer las necesidades la sociedad. Es evidente que entre las medidas indispensables a adoptar ante el envejecimiento, se encuentre el alargamiento de la vida laboral que resulta un elemento importante para el futuro desarrollo socioeconómico y científico técnico del país.
