Abstract

La contratación pública en el Ecuador desempeña una función significativa para el normal desenvolvimiento de la sociedad, esto tras la destinación de volúmenes significativos de recursos para la realización de proyectos y obras que permitan el bienestar de todos quienes se encuentren inmersos en la nación, es decir, tal función provoca una incidencia en las condiciones económicas y sociales. Dentro del territorio nacional las participaciones de las compras públicas han tenido una presencia importante en cuanto al Presupuesto General del Estado (PGE) y Producto Interno Bruto (PIB), representando el 20,1% y el 6,4 % respectivamente en el 2018.
