Abstract

El 17 de octubre del 2016 bajo Registro Oficial # 863 con aprobación de la Asamblea Nacional se dio paso a la Ley aplicada a la regulación de las empresas y compañías de servicios de salud prepagadas. Se realizaron modificaciones con impacto económico y político que tienen como fin mejorar la calidad de dichos servicios. Ecuador afronta una situación económica contraída donde el Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (IESS) ha presentado problemas en cuanto al nivel de ingresos, lo que limita la optimización del servicio y la inversión.
