Deontología aplicada en el manejo de desechos peligrosos generado en los cambios de aceite

Abstract

El que hacer con el aceite de desecho causado por los cambios de aceite en los sectores: industrial, automotriz, aviación y marina; es un problema que causa una incógnita a nivel mundial. Se estima que en el mundo se generan 45 millones de toneladas por año, siendo solo el 40% de este aceite recolectado y desechado adecuadamente y alrededor del 8% de este se recicla en nuevos aceites lubricantes. De igual manera se estima que los filtros usados contienen de un 30-50 % en peso de acero y un 45- 60 % de aceite usado, lo cual también lo convierte en un desecho sólido peligroso, que se debería utilizar distintas formas para su reciclaje por partes. Esto genera un problema deontológico debido a que los profesionales que desarrollan esta actividad realizan caso omiso a los artículos 179, 180, 181 del Acuerdo Ministerial del Ecuador, los cuales establecen que dichos desechos deben ser tratados como peligrosos.
