Abstract

El presente estudio económico comparado sobre los costos de producción y comercialización de naranja orgánica y tradicional, tiene como propósito analizar la viabilidad este producto agrícola en el recinto Las Piedras, del cantón Balzar. A través de ello, se han desarrollado esquemas de costos de producción que comparan las dos modalidades de cultivo extendidas en la agricultura local y nacional, considerando las tendencias actuales del mercado y sus potencialidades de introducción como una fruta de mayores beneficios productivos y aportes económicos, los cuales buscan generar mayor valor para los productores, principalmente por razones de preferencias de los consumidores por productos ambientalmente amigables y saludables, y con precios económicamente accesibles para el mercado guayasense y ecuatoriano.
