La educación financiera y los programas que oferta la banca privada ecuatoriana

Abstract

A causa de la falta de cultura financiera la población ecuatoriana se ha visto en un significativo endeudamiento, acorde a la información presentada por la Superintendencia de Bancos, para el año 2011, el consumo de tarjetas de crédito en Ecuador, sobrepaso los USD 7.200 millones, por esta razón se implementó como política de estado en el año 2014, programas de educación financiera, los mismos que se imparten en los bancos privados del país. Uno de los Bancos que más programas oferta es el Banco del Pacifico que incluye programas radiales, virtuales y talleres cuya finalidad es orientar el correcto manejo de la información para minimizar el riesgo en la toma de decisiones financieras mediante la cultura financiera.
