Abstract

Esta investigación se la realizo con el fin de conocer como es la producción de palma africana en la Hacienda “San Jorge†, la misma que está ubicada en el Kilómetro 6 de la vía Quevedo – El Empalme, del Cantón Quevedo, así mismo determinar los requisitos que la hacienda debe implementar para un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad para que pueda contar con el aval de una certificación como lo es la normativa RSPO la cual ayudará a que la hacienda refleje sus altos estándares de calidad, ampliando mercado de manera regional y nacional. La información obtenida nace de nuestro interés por conocer el proceso de producción que se realiza en la hacienda, todo su sistema desde una siembra hasta la cosecha incluyendo los periodos de fertilización, poda y todo lo que implique la garantía de calidad de la palma africana.
