Análise da mudança estrutural das regiões brasileiras através da estrutura de suas exportações

Abstract

A teoria estruturalista considera que o desenvolvimento econômico pelas economias latino-americanas deve se dar através de uma mudança estrutural, com aumentos na participação de produtos com maior intensidade tecnológica na pauta de exportações e não somente por meio do livre comércio, pois assim iriam exportar somente produtos dos quais apresentam vantagem comparativa, sendo essencialmente recursos naturais e de baixa intensidade tecnológica. Desse modo, o objetivo do artigo é verificar se as regiões brasileiras vêm adotando um processo de mudança estrutural. Para isso, será feita uma análise das exportações das regiões do Brasil. Os principais resultados mostraram que apenas a região sudeste apresentou boa representatividade nas exportações de produtos com maior tecnologia e que a pauta de exportações de todas as regiões apresentou aumento significativo na participação de produtos não industriais, indicando uma possível reprimarização da pauta de exportações.
