Factores medio ambientales que influyen en el desarrollo de la cachama en la Amazonía Ecuatoriana

Abstract

La siguiente investigación se desarrolló en sectores rurales de la parroquia Puyo, provincia de Pastaza, Ecuador, con el objetivo de identificar la influencia de los factores medio ambientales de la cachama en la Amazonía Ecuatoriana. En el territorio existe biodiversidad de peces, y esta investigación se enfoca en Colossoma macropomum (cachama), especie nativa de la región donde ha tenido un crecimiento productivo positivo. Se siguió un procedimiento para la identificación de los factores medio ambientales que inciden en el desarrollo de esta especie en piscinas. A través de observaciones y entrevistas se conoció que los propietarios de las fincas realizan una actividad de desbroce de maleza con los diversos medios que poseen. Además de una desinfección para eliminar microorganismos indeseados para las especies acuáticas. Los resultados obtenidos sobre la alimentación, reproducción y factores ambientales de la crianza de las cachamas muestran perspectivas de crecimiento y desarrollo de la piscicultura. Los propietarios necesitan apoyo técnico, financiero y conocimiento de normativas ambientales para mejorar e impulsar la actividad piscícola con especies nativas en la región.
