Denominaciones de origen: una perspectiva para promover el desarrollo económico, cultural y social en México

Abstract

Las denominaciones de origen tienen como objetivo principal promover la calidad del producto, proteger los métodos tradicionales con los que se realizaban, así como proteger a la región productora (Madrigal, 2014). Hoy en día, México, considera pieza fundamental proteger sus productos distintivos y únicos para que cuenten con la calidad y características específicas que sólo hay en la región “comprendiendo los diversos factores (naturales y humanos) del territorio con el fin de evitar la competencia desleal a través de imitaciones, falsificaciones o adulteraciones†(IMPI, 2016).
