O futebol brasileiro no contexto do período militiar (1964 - 1979)

Abstract

O presente trabalho apresenta relações estabelecidas pelo futebol com o governo brasileiro durante o regime militar, fato que foi pouco percebido durante e após o período, e que reflete suas conseqüências ate os dias atuais, tanto socialmente quanto na decadência administrativa do futebol brasileiro. A pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar como foi a intervenção militar no futebol e sua importância na época para o Brasil, contextualizando a relação do esporte e governo antes e após 1964 até 1979. A metodologia usada por meio de leitura e pesquisa em livros e artigos, filmes e documentários. Desse modo, foi possível traçar as relações entre o governo militar brasileiro e o futebol, que vai muito além das quatro linhas, onde o esporte foi e ainda é um importante instrumento usado por diversos setores da sociedade.
