Extrativismo da borracha no Arquipélago do Tabuleiro do Embaubal: cadeia produtiva e entraves

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizara cadeia produtiva da borracha e identificar os gargalos de comercialização do produto no Arquipélago do Tabuleiro do Embaubal, Pará. Foram utilizados questionários semiestruturados. Foram entrevistados dois atores principais da cadeia produtiva: i) os extrativistas; e ii) os atravessadores. O principal entrave da cadeia produtiva foi à pauta de comercialização da borracha estabelecida no valor de R$6,00 para o Estado do Pará. Esta pauta foi decisiva para que todos os extrativistas que venderam sua produção no ano de 2013 deixassem de ter acesso ao Programa de Garantia de Preço Mínimo (PGPM). O extrativismo da borracha se apresenta como uma importante fonte alternativa de renda aos moradores do Arquipélago, sobretudo, quando se considera os impactos negativos da construção da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte sobre o estoque de peixe do Rio Xingu.
